Several Game Manage Units have been under predator control for the last few years. 16 where I live along with some of the other units will go under stepped up programs this year. The Board of Game finally approved ADFG to set rules to go after bears as well as wolves. Wolf control has been going on for the last few years now there population is coming down, however the moose calf population is also dropping . It, the moose calf, are below sustainable numbers here in unit 16. By liberalizing black bear hunting it is hoped the moose levels will return to older levels. _________________ If you ain't goin' somewhere yer goin' nowhere...... |
