Just wanted to share our first weekend succes. We hunted the last 2 mornings and ended up with 2 ducks yesterday and 2 today. The first day we had the place to ourselves and saw a decent number of ducks. This morning was quite different There were lots of hunters out and we had people walk up on our blind at daybreak. After everyone was settled the ducks only flew for about an hour and a half. My brother shot 2 mallards hens his first ducks of the season.

A couple pictures from this weekend...

Looks like a great spot. I have to get out to my spot again now that my deer tag is filled.

We went out again this morning but only got one mallard drake. This hot weather has got the ducks out of the area and no weather to move more in. We're gonna try again in the morning also on saturday. Hopefully this cold front will get the ducks moving by this weekend.
