It was a popular post in 08, so lets do it again! I decided on a late hunt here in NM so nothing to post on my end yet.

Thanks Bruce, good luck on your hunt. I assume your hunting Alberta. Have you seen any good ones?

I'm going to try to get one on my own land to mount(no small feat, as I only have 1/2 section, and there's not a lot of antelope in the area)
There are a couple in the area about the size of the one you got, and one smaller. There's a monster in the general area, but he doesn't seem to come close to my land in his travels.
Maybe kind of foolish, as some of the best antelope htg in the world is just NW of me, and I'm hunting 30 mi. SE! Just something I want to do. To be honest, I'll be tickled if I get one period.

Bruce, there is something special about harvesting an animal on your own land. If you have water and its in the rutt, no telling what might show up on your 320 acres.

Good luck, keep us posted

Yes, glad you did, nice bow kill. Looks awefully dry to be Colorado, was he taken somewhere else? How big is he?

Haswell, CO. Big game access program property. Browning model 81, shot at 305 yds. 160gr Nosler partition.

This morning the dog (darker one) brought one of the severed fore legs into the house and presented it to my wife while she was still in bed.
She was not amused.
