Ok fellas I drew a January cow tag in co gmu 85/851 I know the units farely well but I dont know what the elk are going to do that time of year. Obviously I know they are going to be lower than they would be in oct but just wondering if any of you have had this tag or something similar and can you give some ideas on how I should scott them for January? |

That's a tough one, especially if you're only hunting public land. You know they will use they brushier low country during the late season, but if you don't have access to Bosque del Oso, you've got no winter range to hunt. Basically Spanish Peaks SWA is the only public land winter range, or maybe some state trust lands. _________________ www.westernhuntingdata.com
