| I'm not from Ont and am not familiar with the details of this plan...but I strongly encourage all hunters and outdoors people to submit their opnions via the link provided in the article. You know full well that the anti-hunters will, and we need to make sure that they hear our voice as well. |

| well I think they should bring back the spring bear hunt this would help thin them out last year they traped a bear and brought it way back in the bush about 30 or 40 miles from the city and taged and released it a week later the same bear was back at the city dump just shoot the dam thing and end of problem and bring back the sport in the spring bear hunt |

| Why did they close the spring bear hunt? Sounds like Ontario has plenty of bears and there is not a threat of being over hunted.... |

| you have to ask the MNR about that as far as i know is your right there dose not seem to be a shotage of bear in the area but the MNR come up with some wild ideas |

| Yeah sounds like it Mixerman. Your idea about the spring bear hunt is sound. Hunters can usually control populations better than committees. :roll: |

| The canceling of the spring bear hunt didn't have that much of an impact on the population. The biggest problem it caused was bears that we chased for two months every spring have decided man is no threat.Hence your nusance bears.Instead of keeping them leary of man we have made them think of the smell of the cottage barby a meal. Not a pack of plotts with a belly full of lead. The only way to decrease the # of nusance bears in ontario is to bring back the spring bear hunt. |
