| What kind of broadheads do you prefer, and why? 75g 100g 125g? |

OK I use Muzzy 3 blade 125 grain, tipping a LS2 Lite bolt (Crossbow)
The reason?
I have been told that the blades will not come out of the broadhead inside the deer, or otherwise, and actually go THROUGH a deers spine, and stick in the ground under the deer.(told by a guy that shot one from above)
They are also pretty true, you can get them to shoot nice and straight with a nice pattern. I had a 3 inch pattern with 4 arrows at 20 yds. (that's not bad in my book)
Anyone else? Or does no-one here use arrows? |

| I have used Muzzy on wild boar and I was pleased with there performance. I am looking at changing to steelforce heads only because they are cut on contact heads and I believe they will be even better. I think the thing is to use what works best with your set-up. |

| Muzzy is the best. I've tried several different brands with mixed success, Muzzy lives up to it's reputation. Bad to the Bone. 125 Gr. is a good size, flies good. |

| On my 2413 arrows I use 100gr. Thunderheads. I have never had a problem with blades coming loose and they fly to the vitals everytime. On my other bow which I keep as a spare since it has a fixed draw length, old PSE Pulsar Express, I use 2514 arrows with a 125gr. Thunderhead. These pack a huge punch. I once hit a deer in the spine from 40yrds and had most of the arrow sticking out the other side. What ever flies the best with your bow and arrow setup should be the only factor no matter what the brand. |

| Be sure and try Rocky Mountain broadheads. I'm still experimenting to see what works best. 100 grains |

| I like cut on contact broadheads. I think I will go to the Steel Force broadheads this season. I use 125 grain heads. |

I have a Browning Tornado, shooting Carbon Express arrows(pencils as my friends call them). I used to use 90g puckett's blood trailers. They leave great bloodtrails, but the expandable broadheads are usually ruined even if only hitting rib bones. I also tried the Rocky Mntn. in 100g, and still use them. They last good and fly almost as good as bloodtrailers for me. The Rocky Assassin expandables are very nice for bloodtrails, but the rubbers that hold the blades forward don't last very long. My best so far are the First Cut EXP100 by game tracker. I killed two does, a buck, and a couple coyotes last year(each with one arrow), using broadheads which are still in my quiver. They fly good, actually better for me, the longer the distance is. I had one go through the far side shoulder JOINT(not blade) of my buck as it exited from both lungs and stuck in the ground. I only filed the blade tip a little to knock off a burr. Just some of my experiences through wanting to be efficient. |

I use Thunderhead 100's. Have for years. Shot a number of Whitetails with this broadhead and on 11/4/01 when my brother and I were hunting together, he shot and killed a (8) point and I shot a Black Bear 15 minutes apart, both using the Thunderheads. They shoot very well and are very deadly.

| I shot thunderheads for along time then last year I tried gold tip expandable in a 100 gr. I am hooked, they fly like practice tips and make a great hole and a huge blood trail, I hit a deer last year at 50 yards and broke two ribs with it, picked it up and put it back in my quiver. your weight of broadhead depends on your arrow and what spine it is and weight, I also switched to gold tip arrows last year and am conviced that graphite is the best by far, cant brake em and they wont shatter |

i stwitched from the Muzzy 3 blade to the gametracker silver tip in 100 gr last season with good results.I shoot beeman 400 carbon out of a PSE.Took 3 deer with the silver tips.
These are not expensive broadheads but they make a deadly combo with this bow and arrow. |
