| My hunting buddy bought a used Burris 2x7 scope to mount on a S&W .44 mag. He didn't get the box or any paper work with the scope and doesn't know how many clicks equals how many inches of adjustment. I told him I would try to get the info for him, so any help from you guys would be appreciated. Thanks, Chuck <>< |

Here is the Burris specification chart for scopes.

| Isn't it usually on the adjustment knobs? I know all my scopes have it clearly marked under the knob dust caps. |

Never have used a Burris but every scope I have used is 1 click = 1/4" @ 100yds.
I take it that's not standard? |

I think it is certainly the most common but there are some with 1 click -1/2"@100yds. My guess, given the magnification, is that Chuck's scope is probably 1 click = 1/4"@100yds. |

I think you'll find 1 click per inch right. Shoot it at 100yds then move the adjustment up or down 8 clicks. That should move the center of the group 2".
My old 1-4x Redfield doesn't have clicks. It has marks and each mark is 1". Probally not the best but it's worked great for over 30yrs now. |
