| The Blacktail seem more abundant this year. I'm spotting them every day and in areas I haven't seen them in years. This may be a good year for all the Washington Blacktail hunters. Good luck, guys and gals |

None as yet. That is. There have been a few with the start of a set. What they are going to end up with is still a mystery.
A little less than three months to opening day, archery. We should be seeing velvet any day. |

I saw one with 3" knobs at the firing range. I had to chase him off.

Deer at the range. I wonder if that's a deer boot camp of sorts.
I've also seen several small bodied Blacktails. It seems more than the past several years. This looks like it was a good breeding/survival season for them.
All this wet weather we've been getting since last October may have been good for them.
We could end up with some very nice Blacktails in the next couple of years and a lot of them. |

| Sounds like my rifle range there are several bucks running around there along with many does. one is a beaustiful 4 x 4. But no hunting at range. we always have to shoo them off inbetween sessions when the range is hot. I have been seing a ton of deer this year. i saw probably anywhere fro 4 to 10 deer in the morning while turkey hunting every day. thats only hunting for 3 hrs then off to school. |
