Do always hunt in Canada or do you come down once in a while and hunt in the US? Are the hunters licenses the same here and there?...

Yeah I always hunt in Canada - the only US hunts I'm interested in would be Mule Deer/Elk in Wyoming, Montana or Colorado. But with our low dollar it's just not financially possible.
If I had my pick it would probably be Wyoming...I've always wanted to see it.
Licences up here vary from province to province just like they do from state to state in the US. I don't know the rules for all of them.
In Nova Scotia (NS) where I live now you need a basic hunting licence and then after that you buy tags (big game)/stamps (small game). It's not too expenisve for residents about $50 Cdn.
It's much the same in Sask.
Hunters fall into 3 general categories: those that live in a province are considered residents, then there's Canadian residents who are from another province, and finally non-residents who are from outside Canada. Usually non-residents have to hire a licenced guide by law.
