My buddy shot one of these a month or so ago, and he let me keep some of the meat. Man is that good stuff. Smoked sausage, tamales, and the tenderloin is still in the freezer, can't wait to eat that.

I shot one of these a while ago and it is the best meat I have ever tasted. Eland is a very close second for soft, sweet tasting meat. Enjoy

one of our members at DRSS, killed one of the simitar horned Oryx, at the ranch where we hold our two anual member hog hunts, and left the meat for the Jan hunt last year. Chris is the importer for Heym double rifles, and took a representative from the Heym factory down there to hunt one.

The meat was aboslutely the best wild meat I've ever eaten, other than Hogs! Like Kevin says, Eland is good, but S.H. Oryx is better! :thumbsup1:

The ranch has an exotic section behind high fence, but we don't hunt hogs inside there, smply because there are no hogs in there!
