| The daily limit is 3 roosters (can not hunt hens). We usually get the hunters that we guide their limit in 2-4hrs, depending on the size of the group. Believe it or not the larger the group, the easier it is to get the limit. With a larger group, you can surround and block them with people posting. We've taken groups of 15-20 out and gotten a limit in two hours. Conversely, we've hunted with groups of 2 and its taken 5 hrs to get their limit. this is mostly true later in the season when the birds are more wild and will fly up way in front of us. |

yea i believe you. We here in washington are seperated by the cascade mt range spliting our state into basically two seperate state climates. Here on the west coast it is rainy controlled by marine wheather. All birds are planted on pheasant relese sights with a few wild offspring limit is two birds either sex.. While on the east side it is more set seasons of whether. Birds are wild. with limit three roosters only. more people cover more ground.
I live in western washington. and about three miles from two release sites, along with a couple more down the road. Like just this morning i saw 4 ringnecks walking around the vet clinic. I live in a small town. but what i would give to hunt pheasants in the dakotas or kanses over there nabraska.
I went back to SD this summer for family reuning to winner i saw a lot more pheasants than i am used to. ! |
