| I'll have to remember to use a snowman as a decoy next season  or would that be back to the baiting debate ???? |

I don't know but it seems like it would be hard to explain to the game warden why you built a snowman in the middle of the wilderness with corn for eyes and a carrot for a nose.
speaking of game wardens, just a warning to young texas hunters, i talked to a game warden last weekend. he thanked me for carrying my hunter's safty card and said "I'm wearing out my pen writing tickets for that" |

cob:
do you have to carry your hunter saftey card on our person ????? In Montana you have to present it at time of purchase; then the number is put on your licence. |

Well I think the trick would not be to try to explain the snowman, but rather act like its your hunting buddy.
Warden: Sir, what are you doing with that snowman there with the edible face parts?
You: What snowman? Bob and I are just about to make a drive in to this thicket of brush. Want to join us?
Warden: Who's Bob?
You (pointing at the snowman): Why right here officer, don't you see him? He would like to shake your hand, that's why his hand out is sticking out. He thinks your quite rude for not having shaken his hand yet. (Try to say these lines with the most crazed wildman look you can muster).
With any luck, the warden will realize that he is in the sticks with a looney tune who has a snowman for a hunting buddy. Personally, if I was the warden, I'd walk away slowly.....after of course shaking Bob's hand. |

| I was wondering how to explain to Mr. Warden why my 50 snowmen all have multiple carrot appendages. |

50 snowmen... heh heh heh.... well they say the more the merrier.
With fifty it would be much easier to exhibit crazed wildman properties.... |

| If they were male snowmen, they could have more carrot appendages! |

| So are you saying males are better hunters than females, or just better at baiting? |

Male snowmen.... Now if you had upper and lower appendages on 50 fifty snowmen that would definitely scare any rational game officer away from your "bait pile".
50 snowmen on viagra... |

Or you could just cut to the chase and spread carrots and lumps of charcoal all over the clearing. When the game warden comes by, simply say, "Hey, they were snowmen this morning..."
In Alabama we don't have this luxury. Hard to make a snowman out of red dirt and leaves. But if you do manage to pull it off, they don't melt near as fast.

| That's true but the look on the game wardens face as he/she came upon 50 anatomically correct (viagra enhanced mind you) snowmen might just be worth the effort of building them. |
