Well not much talk in this forum but spring is just around the corner and the turkys are calling.
I now laws are different in diff states so what is your states limit, type, season??
just atempting to wake this forum up with turky hunting aroud the corner.
HEre in Washington St. there are easterns, merriums, and rio grande's. You can kill one a day with a season limit of three for the year. IF you kill one of each species you get the slam i am in the running for the multi year slam all ineed is an eastern.
Well good luck this spring and be safe. :thumbsup1: |

Pa is basicaly the month of May. 1 gobbler but this year I think there is an extra tag that you can get that is being offered for the first time.
NJ has a crazy set up for thier seasons. You need to buy a permit that allows you to hunt a specific week (6 different seasons, 1 week each except the last season which is 2 weeks and there is a Saturday permit that allows you to hunt all the Saturdays of the season). Then it's broken down furthur into turkey management units and you need a permit that is specific to each unit. Its a little complicated :](*,)
The first round is a lottery. Then after that you can buy as many permits as you want till they run out. 1 bird (per permit) for as many permits as you have. Each permit allows 1 turkey and you can only kill 1 in a day even if you have other permits for that season(week). |

Hunting in washington is WIerd. We're split by the cascades causing this state to be split into 2 and basically two seperate states. Eastern washington is great hunting for everything. But Western washington is so wet that it has a low turkey population due to young dieing. BUt it has been going up so hopefully i and this state can have a good impact in upcoming years so futer generations can hunt turkys with good sucess.

| I can't wait, I'm absolutely pumped about this coming season here in PA....one nice thing is that their is an extra tag you can purchase so you can take two gobblers this year....also I am excited because my fiance will be hunting spring turkey for her first time....she came out in the field with me last year and witnessed her first hunt and she was thrilled...now she is going to try her hand at bagging a bird....or two! |
