Howdy biggame community... first time writer here... I am a South Texas native transplanted in North West Georgia.
I am looking for a hog hunt near mid Georgia for 1/19/06 (or any date after). Please contact me if anyone knows of some private land on which we can hunt hogs/varmints for a reasonable fee (free is ok too! :D). I already know of the Pine Log WMA hunts but need something sooner.
I would much appreciate it and return the favor in any way I can! Thanks! Joe C. |

| Great! Thanks friend! What kind of dogs do you use? If you want to go to Pine Log WMA in GA (near Cartersville just north of ATL) on 2/10-12, there is a public hunt. They tell me there are no hogs this far north in GA (I live on Lookout Mt. next to Chattanooga). Any one know of any hogs farther north than north Atlanta (White, GA)? Precinate it if ya' can let me know... thanks again! -Joe C. |

for the record thats a 55 acre pen at South Georigia Bad Boars. Dont know if thats any concern to you but I thought youd like to know.
Myself I prefer hunting them free range and dont find it hard to get on decent public land hog hunts down here. Two that come to mind is SC Webb Plantation hunt and the Savahnna River National Wild Life Refuge . I dont think you can run hounds there though.
if your looking for prime hog hunting you really need to look at Florida. The amount of hogs there is incredible. Everytime I go down there we come back knee deep in pigs. |

| For the record thats a 105 acre pen at south georgia bad boars. I know this because I own it. And hunting hogs on 105 acres is a pretty good challenge considering you have to walk all of it |

| I stand corrected its a 105 acre pen. No one questioned the challenge of it. Why you so quick to defend when someone gives a public land free range alternative? |

| Not getting defensive.. just want the correct info out there. I've hunted free range all my life. Just want to help the folks who don't have time to look for land or scout for sign to have a place to go and gaurantee that they will take a trophy animal home. I applaud the guys that hunt public land only. I've hunted those areas some and it is difficult to do. Sorry if I come off wrong. |
