I don't see it as much in NJ as I do in Pa. The "road hunters" are a real problem there. My neigbor heard a shot last season and said it sounded like it came from my place so he went across the road to my camp and saw a guy dragging a doe right from my property......This year I had a friend hunting in a tree stand about 100 yards from the cabin and one of the "usual road hunters" (he saw him driving back and forth on the forest road all day) stopped his truck and hollered out to him "get out of that tree stand"...Can you imagine. The guy was mad because my friend was legally hunting in his favorite road hunting area! :](*,)
I am thinking of asking the game commision to set a "buck" there for opening day next year. |

| I think if they set it up on opening day of the season they may get a half dozen poachers. |

| Unfortunatly we have got a problem with the road hunters here too. On top of it we have had a growing problem of people coming in and shooting bears then leaving them to rot. just last week I came across a bear just 100 yds. off a road that had been shot and left. It's sad and pointless. These people should loose their hunting privlidges for life and be charged with felonies so they will never be able to own fire arms again. Or 30 days in the electric chair would work too. |

| We have a big problem with night hunters here and certain types of hunters that like to shoot from the roads, not nessecarily from thier vehicles but it's still illegal to shoot within 50yds of a public road in Alabama. |

It seems like a normal thing here, its sad realy. But most people cant do anything because half the guys shooting the animals out of season are treaty status natives. Meaning they can shoot what everthey want, when they want and how ever many they want. (except at night and on private properties)
As for the road shooters, most people just drive into the field then get out of the truck and shoot. |
