I am seeking some advice, about guiding and someday becoming an outfitter. Currently I attend community college, and will be tranfering to Michigan State University next fall. I am 20 years old and have no idea what I want to do for the rest of my life. As of now i'm thinking criminal justice, but what I really want to do is be a hunting guide. I was wondering are there careers in guiding? Is guiding something that is part-time? Are there jobs out there, or are they hard to find? I am a hard worker although currently I do engineering, and design work, I can work very hard, I know that hunting is not easy, and I take it very seriously. I have been considering attending Colorado outfitters and guide schools, but am nervous about job opportunitys, i understand that alot of people start as cooks or packers, and I'm fine with this. So I think I got the ambition I just need a little help on whether a career can be pursued, with the current job market, cost of living and property prices. Thanks for any help.
