| My brother and I are going to Alaska this fall Sep.. and want to hunt moose ,, are going to drive from 'Arkansas .. is public hunting an option? any Sugestions.. don't want to spend a bundle.. |

I'm going in September also. We are drop camp hunting out of holy cross. 3 of us are going. 10 day hunt. Good luck to you.

Unlike the L48 states, most of AK is public land...the problem is access as you aren't gonna find alot of pavement. You need to fly or boat in. A "guide" will charge you $10,000 for a moose hunt...I recommend you use an air taxi service...about 20% of the cost. One of many is Rust's...give them a call.
