| How is your season going? Did the predators stop moving on the full moon where you are too? It seemed like they just crawled in a hole for a week. Then a few days later they reapeared. |

| I wish I still had some snares. I found a good hole in a fence that a fox or bobcat is using. Do you know where I can get some snares? |

I long to trap and still get the fever every fall and winter......but unfortunately....
Trapping has been outlawed here in Colorado for around 13 years....not that I've been counting.
The treehuggers got their way and our Division of Wildlife remained silent and didn't speak out...so we lost.
Colorado has had a lot of Greenie...Liberal....anti..hunting, trapping, logging move here from the west coast and the east coast over the last 20 years....and we aren't the same state that we use to be. We will keep fighting the Liberals, though. They might win but we aren't going to go away without a fight. |

What are you doing with all your catches? Im done with red foxes. I got two last year and that is all I want. Took the second one to the taxidermist 2 weeks ago.
Here is the first one.

I'm saving everything for the fur action in March. Won't get what they are worth but can't see wasting them either. I have a farm where the fox are living in the hay feeders and the coons are stealing the baby rabits right from thier cages and eating them. I took 15 reds from there in 10 nights when the season opened. I just set it again for one more round before this season ends. I will only set this farm one time in future years. There are a lot less fox there now! The farmer tells me they haven't had any more of there rabbits or geese taken since then either.
I was putting my gear together getting ready to leave today and another farmer pulled up and told me I was welcome to trap his farm 5 minutes down the road....he's having fox trouble too. 250 more acres! Thats a lot in this state. |
