Me and a hunting buddy packed 10 miles in for the 3rd season with 4 elk tags and 2 deer tags and had an awsome hunt.
The snow was blinding and the weather got down to -16 at night in the tent, but we survived. The hunting was outstanding, and we tagged out on elk and got one deer and lost the other.
We moved camp a few times, and stayed in the animals. I took a nice 6x6 bull and Dan took a 4x4 and we both took cows.
I was glasing some 200 elk on the last day, and was thinking I kinda wished I still had an un-used tag.......oh well, there is always next year!

Here is the bull I took.......he was by far not the biggest I saw.....but I am very pleased with him.
....note how hard it is snowing......my hat is covered!
......and is that a Hunttalk patch I see on the vest?....
...and here is Dans' bull.......
Our camp......
.....it got down to 16 below zero and all I can say is it was brutally cold at night.
We had heaters going in the tent but there was still ice forming inside.........
Dan's big *** cow......
My cow........the fog was really bad that morning and visibility was almost zero.....
....all in all, it was a great hunt....a lot of work, and adjusting to stay in elk, but we both left it all on the mountain and are counting the days til next fall.......

| Nice bull DS! From the looks of the snow, it looks like you earned it too. |
