Deer gut piles. Also try going to local gas station an find the oldest cheapest canned meat, dog food, and fish pieces and mix together.

Are you hunting or trapping them?
There was a good story in the last issue of Fur-Fish and Game about setting up a bait station for coyote. They were wiring the skinned out carcasses to the trees so the animals couldn't just pick them up and carry them away.

I don't use bait for coyotes . I use Hawbecker fox food lure and it works great to suck in the coyote . I havent trapped the coyote the past 2 years .The main reason being is the price of gas , can't afford to run every day checking traps .The last time I trapped coyotes I got 3 coyotes out of 4 with fox food lure It sure works for me I also have a deadly set for them .I find a mound and set my #3 coil in the middle of it making a slight hollow in the middle where the trap is burried .About 4 feet away I make a small hole with a bar and pour a little fox food lure into the hole then I put a little dead brush over the hole to make their curosity take over And the first thing they do is get up as high as they can for a good look and then it's the end of the line for the coyote .I use a 2 in staple and a 6 ft or longer pole as my drag .The pole should be thick enough to hold the staple and about 5 feet of chain

Also, fox urine works good to call in the coyotes.

Yup for sure but I still love em.

The bears around here are going nutz for any food they can get this year the big decline in the berries I guess has made them crazy. I got mine on opening day and I was out fishing tonight and heard someone pumping shots off at one. I think it might have been a fellow american at one of the camps up here. The outfitter out here only uses butcher scraps so they must be hitting his over there this year too. Around here there is some monsters I just havent got my eye on the right one yet.
