WOW! Nice work! $250 seems really cheap, in MO I have heard you cant find anywhere for under $350.
I really like the enhanced muscle look! I'[ve never seen that before, how is it done?
Do you have any recomendations for how to prepare/ feild dress an animal that you are planning on mounting? For examole do I need to skin the skull? or just cut off the neck at the base of the head. |

On the muscles, they are cut out and rasp down smooth and bondo is used as a filler for the hide to adhere and define the muscles better.
The best advice I can give on field dressing is to get enough of the hide. I always cut around the middle of the deer at least 12 inches behind the front legs to be sure you get pleanty of the brisket. Also go just past the knees on the front legs when skinning. Then cut off at the base of the neck. I would leave the face and head skinning to your taxidermist as they deal with it daily and will be able to get you the best possible mount this way.
Also, wanted to let you guys know I am only able to check these post every 3-4 days so please feel free to give us a call at 972-285-1700 if you dont hear back from us soon enough or need some quick answers.
Thanks. David |

| barnold - I am not sure if you can find someone near you that does this. Most taxidermist use the standard forms. I have to do some work on the forms when I order them to get the muscles to look like this mount. You could definatly call around and inquire with some of the taxidermist in your area. Maybe take them a copy of this picture and see if they are able to do a mount like this for you. Hope this helps and as always please feel free to give us a call if there is anything else we can do. Thanks, David |

I've seen some deer by the nuclear power plant that looked kinda like that!
I think its awsome! They look like they're on steriods. Like a freak, I think to have at lest one like this would be cool but not all of them. |
