| Yes indeed, MA is a real "sleeper" of a deer hunting state. There are some tremendous bucks living in the Bay State and it gives nonresident hunters one of the finest bargains as well. Tags are liberal and license and tag fees perhaps the most reasonable on the East Coast too. Turkey and bear hunting are excellent as well. I try to get to MA every fall and spring, for that matter. Opening day of the 2005 shotgun deer season, of the four of us that hunted together, three took deer and my wife and nephew both bagged impressive bucks during the frist few hours. This state is highly underrated and relatively unknown, by deer hunters. |
