I missed a better than average Buck this morning, quite suprising to me, was the fact that I walk right into his area this morning, he snorted at me, bounded a couple of times, I let out a soft bawl, and he stay in the area. He was with about 5 doe chasing them every where. Well to make a long story shot. I loked at rack 10 point, I shot rack! Best thing about it, he just walked off, I'll see him again!

I know what you mean my first year bow hunting on an october morning i got into my stand really early and i started to doze on and off and when it got light out i looked and bedded down right under my stand was a nice 11 point buck with a really wide spread. So immediatly my heart started beating so fast i thought the deer would hear my heart pumping! so i stood up and it took me about 5 minutes to do that and then i had to grab my bow off of my bow hanger and then when it looked away from me at a doe that was coming in i drew my bow back and because it was in the heart of rut in wisconsin it started to walk towards the doe (quarting away from me) so i took the shoot and since it was still earyl in the morning i could not see very well and when i shot the arrow hit a small branch and went right over the deers back talk about dissapointing.
