| Thank you very much for that post. I am new to this site but have found alot of useful info. This being very important since I'm a little "chubby" and overweight and use the stand w/ the recalled chain. Do you have any more info about this....ex.; chain broke and someone got hurt,... or did they pick this up before anyone got hurt...hopefully? Thank you again for that post - |

Hi Barney welcome to the site; I'm glad you find it useful.
I have read two different accounts of the recall and one mentioned that two breaks had occured in the field, one resulting in injuries. The other account did not specifically mention any breaks w/ or w/o injuries.
It is important not to use the stand if you have one of the recalled units until you have obtained a replacement chain. The web site link above does give a form to apply for a replacement chain kit direct from API Outdoors.
