Just got back from four and a half day hunt in central Oregon, Ochaco unit. Walked my arse off looking for deer, only saw does. We would hunt an area for the morning hunt sometimes even stay untill 2:00pm then go back to camp for a bite to eat. The frusterating part was that on the way back to camp no matter the time of day there would be some guy ie "lazy $#@%" in a truck or ATV drive up the road and BAM, BAM, BAM come out with a buck. I'm starting to think its all luck and i'm not having any. I can't stand driving around all day to me thats not hunting thats driving. All in all I had fun, saw some beutiful country and wildlife. :)
P.S. Is anyone hunting couger around the mt Hood area? I was thinking of giving it a try, any tips? thanks, Eli |
