I was going through some pics from my goat hunt and scouting and came across some that I just couldn't resist posting ...
First: typical mountain goat terrain ... the stuff they love scampering around in ... Seven Devils Mountains, Idaho ... enjoy! |

Second, ... and here's proof ...
This nice billy ascended a talus slope and climbed up to a cleft in the shade of an overhang to spend the afternoon. Had we not seen him ascend the talus, we would have perhaps never seen him bedded, even though our route took us right past him.
Even though they are `white' ... I would not consider seeing them necessarily a `slam dunk'. |

| I think it was Jack O'Conner who said, "Mountain Goat habitat starts where Sheep habitat ends". :o |

Couple more pics ...
first pic... pass we climbed scouting for goats.
second pic ... there is a dark block of rock in center of photo down from the top of this block of mountain (we call The Finger). The white spec at the top of the block was a nice billy. |

| bowhunter616, You're Welcome. I know what you mean, that's why I wear great ankle supporting boots. |
