I have been pondering over if i should start reloading my shotgun shells. You see live in a small town called Rochester Wa.I live 2 miles from a pheasant release site and have several more around my area.I also hunt birds in eastern washington.Also Waterfowl,grouse,quail, dove Etc.... I am now also on the trap shooting team at my highschool. I go through alot of shells and was wondering if reloading would save me money, or it would be just about the same amount of money buying boxes, or cases. any suggestions would help. :thumbsup1:

I don't reload shotgun.
I shoot 50 to 100 rounds, at the most, a year. Warming up and chasing quail and chukar.
The cost is about 16.00 per 100 and if I have enough left over from the previous years. I use them up first.
I don't have any idea of the cost of reloading shotgun or the price of a progressive press.
I do shoot rifle and find it to be a fun hobby. It does save me some expense, in the long run.

Reloading for shotguns can save you a lot of money if you shoot a lot. You said you hunt various game and trap shoot so I think reloading would be a wise investment. Make sure you don't make the same mistake I made when I first started. I used to skeet shoot and still hunt waterfowl and other game birds. I bought a nice progressive press which worked great for the skeet shot but didn't have the clearance for 3" and 3.5" magnums so I spent a lot of $$$ on a press that only fit some of my needs. Make sure you get one that will fit the 3" or 3.5" shells if you use them.
