::-k anyone in oregon had any luck huntin bears. going to go out when the general seasons are over and try and get me a big bruin. already had 2 chances this year missed one with the rifle and no shot on one at 10 yards dad was in between me and the bear and twigs where in line of a vital shot with my bow dad was like 5 yards from it snuck up my backside cow calling for elk over east. whats the best way to get one in the later season.

Southern Oregon coast has a ton of bears. My brother lives in Reedsport, went hunting for bears there year before last, did not get one but my brother did 5 mins before we got there. Shot it on the run from 50 feet! bullet went right through the center of the heart! Anyway, I could not belive the amount of sign and scat. Only had two days to hunt and did not know the area very well also, it was very hot with full moon. Terrain is super brushy almost inpeneterable in places with lots and lots of blackberry bushes. They love those blackberrys, my brother nicked the stomach (butcher that he is) :oops: and the smell was like blackberry jam. :) Was thinking of going back for longer hunt but, wanted to hunt around Mt Hood area more, less drive time.
