How much power does an average crossbow have?
The reason I'm asking this is because I went on a service call to fix a hole made by an arrow or bolt from a crossbow. It went through the wall just enough to break the paint on the inside. The wall is 2x6 studwall ,cement fiber siding 5/8 gyp sheathing . The cops were guessing that it came from a neighbor target practicing 100yds away.

Crossbows have no more power than todays compounds. Both shoot in the 270-350 ft per second range.
