THinking i might give up on hunting. seems every time i go an argument starts and get no joy or relaxing time out of it. just a thought to vent and see what you all would have to say about it.

maybe find different hunting partners? Either that or hunt solo?...kinda hard to argue by yourself... :cool:

An argument about what? I hunt to relax and see no reason to argue....... Whiskey offers good advice -- find new hunting partners.........

thank you all for you advice and suggestions. only problem with Wiskey's advice is i do hunt alone a lot of the time but the arguments starts when i get back home :](*,) that makes it a little harder. but to answer everyones post. i have not giving up on hunting and have even add more seasons and since my neighbor just gave me a new bow set up i now have more reason and time to go out.

Maybe buy her something really nice to butter her up before you head out, or try getting her a puppy ::-k

If you get a puppy make sure it's a hunting dog! :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
I make sure my wife gets to go do stuff in August and September. I make sure she gets plenty of girl time with her friends, or time from the kids gardening and such. That took care of the arguments for me. This year I buttered her up a little more by getting her a Ford Fusion last week. That should secure my coyote hunting and looking for deer sheds this winter. Yes indeed, you need to butter her up a bit. Buy her something nice, and then go hunting! :lol:

If your argument is when you get home, then think about taking her along. I have lots of clients that take there wives along on the hunt. It is the opportunity for both of you to get away and relax.

the only thing worse than a male chauvinist is a woman that wont do what shes told!!!! just kidding i had the same problem with an ex girl friend always had something to say about how much time i spent in the woods, notice i said ex girlfriend, but anyway that's water under the bridge, hunting and being with my thoughts in the woods is what keeps me on a even keel with this whole crazy world thank god my wife understands and its never an issue, if it makes you happy keep doing it life is to short to be miserable!

Keep with the hunting. It is an arguement worth having. Hunting is a part of all of us and that is who our partners married. I've had this fight in the past as well. I'm stubborn so every time she starts, I buy a new firearm. I have three gun safes full now and more to come I'm sure. :evil:

Hunting is one of the few pleasures in life that completely relaxes me no matter what. I am fortunate too that I have a wife that undersands the therapeutic qualities of hunting for me. Plus, she knows I'll buy her something nice........ :D

I also had an ex-girlfriend who wanted me to give up Hunting and Fishing. I told her not to make me choose between her and the things in life that I looked forward to the most! Needless to say SHE LOST! I got married to a wonderful woman and now have two sons. She realizes that Hunting is very important to me but she also knows that our family will always be the most important. I can't wait to take my sons out hunting with me so that they too can see the values and the importance of Hunting and getting meat to feed your family. This is how I was brought up and it kept me out of trouble. I hope to god that Hunting as I know it will continue long after I am gone and that my grandchildren will be brought up the same way that my two sons will be. Maybe if she realizes how important Hunting is to you she will ease off on you. it took my wife a while but she now see's what an important role it has and continues to play in my life!
