Sounds like the DOW is really cutting loose with the tags.
I hope we don't lose a lot of the elk and deer to a heavy snow this winter after a dry spring and summer. However, it seems to me that if you wanted to assure more elk/deer made it through a bad winter you would want to leave the population higher going into the winter (meaning less hunting tags). Assuming that there is enough feed to go around.... |

Good point. On the other hand I would really like to see some heavy snow this winter. Unfortunately a heavy winter will be hard on the game animals though after it has been so dry...
