I'm looking for a med to large size dog breed that can be trained to hunt squirrels but that also likes the water since I like to go fishing and ride on the river. I was thinking about a redbone, walker, or Black and Tan.

Any comments on these breed or suggestions of others??

I have a golden retriever and I wouldnt own another breed. He has been the best dog I could have asked for. He loves water and he is very alert to whats happening.
