| i have been having trouble shooting my bow. my left shoulder movestoward the right and puts my arm right in the path of my string. also i cant get to full dram even though im shooting a light 35# bow also my right elbow keeps going up. i realy need help because if i cant get the problem fixed theres no way im taking a bow into the woods |

Are you shooting with fingers or a release? Compound or recurve?
If a compound. It sounds like your draw length is to long.
On a full draw your thumb should rest under your cheek bone against your jaw and place it in the same spot every shot.
We were posting at the time.
Before you take the bow on a licensed hunt. You should check to see what the minimum draw weight requirement is. Wa. has a 45 lb. minimum.
Have you had the bow looked at by an archery shop. Traditional bows can be fit to the shooter.
Stengthen you back muscles. Both side. Before pulling a lot. You can throw your back out of kilter. |

| i shoot the long bow and a recurve. i my fingers not a release. the 35# BOW IS JUST BY PRACTICE BOW BUT MY HUNTING BOW IS 43# ANOTHER PROBLEM IS MY HEAD KEEPS GOING FORWARD. |

It sounds like you are letting your stance relax. Keep your feet spread to your shoulder width and your head straight.
Don't draw the bow beyond your cheek bone. This will allow you to site the bow without moving you head and have a quicker release. Release, don't push the arrow. Allow the string to come off your finger without pushing it with your body.
You could try keeping a slight bend in the arm that is holding the bow. Don't grip the bow. Let it rest against the ball of your thumb. It will line up with the flight path the arrow is going to take.
Once you have learned how that bow throws an arrow. You will be more comfortable with it. You just have to let the bow do it's job. Hold your stance and an easy release. |

| Sounds to me like you need to adjust your draw length,probably needs to be longer. |

Whenever possible use a bow sling to help prevent over gripping the bow....
If it's an older recurve, double check the brace height, and make sure it's at the optimum distance. Strings will stretch with time and use which will effect bow performance and accuracy...

| thanks guys that helped alot my shots are finall grouping and what problems i did have i can coorrect on my own :D |
