Rabbits come in cycles that peak every 6 years or so; the populations sky rocket then they recede to a low point and begin to climb until they max out again. This could be why you saw all those rabbits.
This may sound stupid but what is a black ear?? |

| same here except we only have snow shoes and varying but there are tonnes every night there is a certain road you drive down it and they are all over the road i guess they like something on the roads and the grass along the edges they sit there and picl at it all night. |

| have u ever tried rabbit hunting with a dog, in kentucky that is the only way we hunt them. It don't come in till nov 1. But if u got a good dog it is real fun. |

| We use dogs for deer here mostly well not here because all we have is moose but where i hunt deer we use dogs. |

Been out a few times haven't seen to many yet, but the cover is still full of leaves,can't wait for them to drop off, then the real fun begins

| thats all we use and most of our cover is gone been really cold lately and my uncles little one eyed beagle is the best deer dog ive ever seen |

| It is illegal in this state to use dogs to hunt deer. But I use the beagles on rabbit, I even one trained on upland bird, good little hounds. :P |

| Deer dogging has been banned in most northern counties of the state. Beagles are the best rabbit dogs IMHO. |

| everybody hunts deer with dogs here we got a one eyed beagle in the group best dog i ever seen. |

| The state banned it b/c we had so many people killing any deer that ran doe, buck, fawn, anything. There were also problems with property boundaries and people illeagaly and intetionally crossing them. |

here in kentucky we can't use dogs on deer, but man we use them on rabbits and season came in today nov; 1 and we jumped 21 and killed 9 i killed 3 so it was a good opening day.
go get them cotton tails!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| I usualy hunt Rabbits in the peak of winter when the fur is thick and nice, also the eatin is good to :D |
