yeah, i've seen that. couple of flocks of teal and wigeons came by at close to Mach 2.
fortunately, growing up hunting doves in the desert has me used to leading fast animals. problem is, doves are small and you know they are moving fast. with the ducks being much larger my range and speed estimations are slightly off. it shouldn't take but a few hunts to get that dialed in though. for now i'll stick to the ones that are settling into my decoys and let the fly bys keep flying. |

| I hear you on the climate EA. I grew up in semi-arid (not as dry as AZ desert but still arid) country, then lived in parts of AK and MN for awhile. Couldn't believe how GREEN foliage could be, of course, I still get shocked from time to time, like your "dry forest fern" picture from a while back. Hope you all gets lots of water after those nasty summer fires... |

no lack of water now..it started raining about a week and a half ago and it probably won't stop until sometime in april or may.
thank god for Gortex! |
