I have read alot of peoples posts and found out some good info. I live in Yuma, AZ and am in the military. I am wanting to know when is the best time to hunt them? Also i hear predator destress calls work well, were is a good online place to get them? I really want to get a cat I know it is best to hunt with dogs but being a miitary man I don't make to m,uch to get a guide. So I am hoping you hunters can help me out. Also what is the best way to position yourself to hunt them? I.E. High ground, in heavy brush on the edge of an open area...

you will have a very hard time killing a cat without the use of hounds, there is a chance one would come into a fawn distress call but the odds are very low.Winter is always best, best odds, best coat.

So fawn aand rabbit distress calls sound to be the ticket. I have ran into MT lions in California so I am hoping it can happen here in Arizona. Hell I can sit and what for one all day, hell its the one thing the army continues to teach me well

you need snow on the ground for starters, areas with deer are a must, look for fresh sign and set up on a high point and call at intervals, call for 5 min glass for 30.Good Luck!!! :thumbsup1:
