I'm seeing only local geese around here.
They really like the golf courses and parks. The game and park departments had some [park] predation hunts for a handful of years - kind of fun. But the geese learn that if they get blasted at the fringes - then move in to the picnic table areas.
I keep asking IF F&G to have a park / golf course / green grass / picnic table / before-people-wake-up-in-the-morning archery goose predation hunt - but so far they haven't bit on it. Makes sense to me - no shot raining down on local businesses or cars or joggers. And the geese here are big targets.
But I guess after a few get arrowed - they'd wise up quickly to that also.
Hoping to clobber some of the northern birds when they come down. |

| tonnes fillin up the courses around here but nowhere you can shoot them for some reason way up here they know not to go into hunting territory |
