| You'll notice that this effort failed in 1969 and again in 1980. They also tried the Regleg partridge in Friend, Oregon, failed, and those black phesant's in the Willamette valley, all on private property and failed. Year's ago they were in the business of raising and releasing phesant's. They cost $15 ea released in the wild and 90% were dead within one week, even un-hunted. Commerical bird raiser's were, at that time, raising and selling the same bird's for $7.50 ea. I'm not sure what Ore Fish & Game's agenda is, but I doubt it has anything to do with administrating our wildlife. Sound's to me like a privately run business that goes in the hole every year so just levey's a tax on the people to cover the cost's of their failure's. |
