| I want to enter the lottery for moose permits in Maine for the moose season of 2005, but I have absolutely no idea how to go about it. If anybody has any information, it would be of tremendous help. Thanks for the help. |

OK guys I will try to help you out if I can. First of all go to this site and see if this helps you any. http://www.informe.org/ifw/moosepermit.html
This has a lot of info about the permit and how to apply.
Here is a map of the area that I am talking about.

Now here is another tid bit of info fo you. I tell all that I talk to to apply for the area just up above Rt.9. This is the Downeast area of Maine. This area has only been open to moose hunting for about 10 years (maybe a bit less).
There are a lot of moose in this area of Maine also. Most guys think that they have to go way up north to get a moose. But the thing is to me anyways is that they are a bit more skiddish up north because they have been hunted more. But like I said this is my 2 cents worth. It is up to you guys what you want to do.

| I am from Philadelphia. Its tough to find folks who are into this sort of thing around here, so its a good thing that I can communicate with people of the same interests over the internet. I will be sure to keep you up to speed if I am drawn, and thanks again for the help. |
