Hi everyone, I have looked and looked for a new place to hang my hat, and I FINALLY found it. It wasn't easy, but here I am.
I am 34, and have hunted for 5 years now, and I live in Ohio.
I USED to regularly visit huntingohio.com of which is not a hunting forum anymore, and we do not have anything else yet that I know of. So this forum will be great!
I am VERY anxious to get this season started, and getting ready to gear up!
My cousin bought a trail-cam, and got a picture of a nice buck that looks like he would score an EASY 160 (9 pointer) we are ALL (10 in our group) trying to put our names on this deer LOL!
Glad to have found this sight, and I WILL return, will be gone for a while studying for an exam, but when thats done the huntin starts!

Hi Chuck,
Welcome! Always nice to see new people on the board. When do you hit the fields?
It is cooling off a bit here in Colorado and while I hunt rifle season, I can "feel" the fall coming a bit, which means elk hunting isn't too far off! |

Well, 28 days 'til the Whitetails get nervous here!
I wish I could get my bow out, but I really need to study, and if I get my bow out, it's all over! I wouldn't think of ANYTHING BUT deer hunting...
What would be your personal preference for a broadhead, and why? And do you use a crossbow, or compound, and why?

Hi Chuck,
You might want to ask your question about broadhead preference in the archery forum. Sometimes new questions in old threads don't get answered. |

Hi Chuck, by the time all of you guys divide up that deer there won't be much left. LOL's
Our bow hunting season here start in September, and if you work it right you can take 3 deer.
2 of the deer you can only take from the off shore islands. |
