I used a camo ground blind that has a zipper window on each side. it was only 5ft high and i used a bucket to set on. i also bored 5gallon bucktet of corn about 20 yards away.....i have seen many deer but im still holding out for the big one......good luck and get a good one!

If your going to be hunting with a bow at all I would definately recommend the doghouse. Looks like it would be hard to make a akward shot with a bow out of the outhouse. Couldn't get the other one to pull up. If your just going to hunt with a gun either would be suitable. but I still like the doghouse.

What part of KS are you from? I'm in Manhattan. Have you been out much this year? Rattled? Give me your take on where the rut is at now where you live.

I live in Wichita but hunt an hour west. We went out yesterday to scout before the opener. Saw a 14 & an 8 pointer chasing a doe. Oddly the bigger buck decided to walk. Bad part is this was on WIHA land...hopefully there won't be a bunch of people trying to hunt it opening day  The rut is definately still on, saw LOTS of deer out.
