| Posted the pic up on another forum I read, and a guy there said it's a hen woody...and yes...it's dead. :lol: |

| definately a hen wood duck, have you never seen one of these before??? We have them all over in ND early season, the drakes look pretty nice, have 4 of them mounted. |

| nope never seen a female wood duck before. this is my 2nd year duck hunting and we didnt see any in the river last year but this year we are seeing a lot for some reason. |

| ... yes, hen woody. The drakes are awesome. I had a drake `pelt' for a while, along with a rattlesnake skin, etc. ... which had to be surrendered upon marriage. I'm slowly managing to get some `skins' back into the abode. |

| Not Illegal here in NJ....A hen wood duck was the first duck I ever got. They are pretty small and the limit is one per day. |

| when i was building my blind i seen 8 females and on male all together, and had 2 females land infront of the blind was walking around and moving wood and they just sat there. i hope i get a male this year i want to mount it. |
