Had no idea what was going to come of this. Never used Reloader 25 or H1000 behind 140gr Nosler Accubonds in a 270wsm. I had it sighted, in 2 rounds and was punching one hole 3 round shot with both powders. They are fine powders. I'm going to set some more loads to see how far I can push the powder charges and still retain accuracy. If my calculations work out I should be able to exceed 3400 fps and the 29" barrel should give them the stability for accuracy.
When I was at the range on this first run of loads. One of the 1000 yd shooters that was hanging around, told me that some of the 1000 yd shooters are trying the Accubond.
The nice thing about this bullet is it's a premium construction hunting bullet. |
