| i am going out on friday and saturday. scoutted a nice area yesterday with a few buddys. found 7 gobblers that answerd us, and a few hens. and seen a few deer there to. latter in the afternoon i scouted an area that is bow only and seen several deer. and pushed an enormous deer out of a swamp. cant wait till deer season. |

Carpknight... where abouts in MA do you hunt? Western? Central?

| well i cant give the exact spots due to the fact that they are not mine. but its in central mass near the quabbin its right next to barre falls. i dont know the exact town though... friday is going to be my first turkey hunt.. hell its my first hunting experience.. its only tuesday and i am excited already. i can still hear the sound of those gobblers in the distance, |

| I understand. I hope get a nice longbeard. I am out in Berkshire County in Western MA. Pittsfield, Lenox, Lee, Tyringham, etc. Lots of birds out here. I love it. Good luck. |

Rolled one today... he came right in to my decoy and calls... first thing in the morning. I put the bead on him, squeezed the trigger, and he went down like a ton of bricks. Usually I run right at them after I shoot and step on their heads, etc., but this time i started to gather my stuff. Then the bird flopped up and ran / flew away... I couldn't believe it... I must have just stunned him good.
Needless to say, I'm not a happy person this morning... |

Got one this morning. I'll post pics when I can.. but he weighed 17lb with a 9 & 1/2" beard and 3/4" spurs. He'll do...
Only 3 days left to fill the other tag! |
