:) I want to say hi to you all.
I stopped by to visit yesterday evening , and I liked this site so much that I decided to register. :wink: , That says alot in itself. I live in Upstate NY, in tne Adirondack Mountains, with my Wildman. We do all sorts of outdoor activities, including fishing ,hunting , and 4 wheelin'... not lmited to that though, as we are both young,semi retired; we get to do more than we ever thought we could. The wildlife and scenery are terrain here is amazing.
Hope to be talking with you soon. Take Care. Cindy |

BigE wrote: What kind of sign did you find? Will you be hunting bear this season? ~~~~~~we will be hunting them this season. we have no spring bear season here, just early and late fall. if you get one late fall;you can't get an early bear next fall.
the year before, i got no bear-so this past season. i got an early bear with the expiring season tag.. and a late one with the new tag.. legal.
so this coming season, i can only get a late fall bear-or skip it to do the same the following year as i did last season.
gall bladders here sell for $10.00/ounce.they must be legally tagged;that price is thru a fur buyer-i imagine it would be more in the right market...
~~~~~the bear sign we saw.... where it had been eating a critter stash,it's paw and body prints... nice size bear~~~~~
we usually get several that come in our and neighboring (camp)yards, there are not many full time residences on our 'road' which is mainly used by sleds/wheelers. but is a dirt road. we live in a pretty remote area. we live in a forever wild area of the adirondack mountains in ny. we are surrounded on 3 sides by state land and we border a huge creek... the state land is 76,000 acres which butts up to even more which butts up to even more. we hope to get a bobcat-we know they are closeby ... just a matter of time;i suppose... thsnks for replying to my post. hope to hear from you again real soon. take care. cindy lou |
