I harvested two pigs there this late May and early June respectivly. I am going back July 4th through the 6th. Its pretty back up in there and the hills are steep in allot of it. .
It is very accessible if you take your time though. Some parts of it are not as bad as others. Some is extreamly slow going due to thick under growth that now has light due to the last fire up in there. allot of the big trees in this area are gone now. This is free and public land surrounded by private. The pigs were 130 and 90 lbs. Although two of the fresh tracks we saw there were russian and mathamaticly were between 700 to 800 pounds
I need a hunting partner as my current partner had to change his plans for an urgent family issue. I will go by my self if I have to though.
This area also has tons of good deer although I do not have a tag there nor is it anywhere need deer season yet. We did see over thirty very shootable sized deer the very last trip as well as huge mountain lion tracks.

| I love Los Padres. Do yourself a favor and purchase lion tags as well. I've seen more lions than pigs up there. Every time wishing I had bought the tags! |
