There were plenty of great deer to be had in our zone this year. Here are a few

Thanks for the compliments on our sask mulies. I would love to extend the invite to come out and hunt mules with us, but sadly the season is only open to sask residents, and we are subject to a draw we may only be successful every 3 years or so. We are able to buy an archery tag every year, but there arent as many bow hunters in the area. Must have something to do with the terrain - there are few trees to put a stand in, and sitting in a pile of cacti waiting for a good shot, only to have a rattler or widow show up to keep you company kind of spoils the fun.

Plenty of good shed hunting, if you are willing to risk your neck in the rough country for the big ones.

The buck in the top photo was taken in the rut, November 5 last year. He was an older deer, around 7, and he had very non-typical antler growth, almost like the white tails. He was the heaviest deer I ever helped push onto the back of a pickup.
