I was lucky enough to draw one of the Maryland bear permits. However I have never been bear hunting.

In the Maryland area would you recommend; stand hunting, stalking, still hunting?

Is the use of calling benefitial?

Obviously the morning and evening are good. Is there anything that I should do different during the mid day? Stay put? Move around?

I've hunted in Michigan and that was always at a baited location. They can also use dogs. I do not even know if those options are available in Md. If your are a land owner and you have a permit then you probably know where they are. If not , see if baiting is legal.

As with any hunting go where the food is.
