Hello
I just found this site and my first post is a question.
Has anyone seen signs that the rut is on?
I hunt in Chester and this past Tues. was the first time all season that I found a fresh rub. I also found ony 1 scape.
I was just wondering what other MA. hunters were finding.
I don't expect you to tell your "secret spot", just MA. in general.
Thanks in advance. |

I hunt in Western MA as well. The rut is on and getting better by the day. I've seen several bucks chasing does around already. Scrapes, rubs, you name it. I actually was watching a 4 pointer chase around a doe in a field yesterday down in Egremont!
This week is going to be fun!

I see more deer while bow hunting than i do with the shotgun here in MA. Less pressure. If i had a gun in my hand these past 2 weeks i'd have 3 good bucks and a doe by now!
Oh well, that's the way it goes with bow hunting. |
