| My in-laws just moved to this area. We'll be over there for Thanksgiving and was hoping to sneak in a little hunt. Where are thepublic hunting areas? |

| What are you hunting for ? Swanson Lake Recreation Area south of Creston Wa. is good for coyotes, mule deer, some elk and probably a few bobcats and cougars. Not sure about birds though ,as I go down there only to hunt coyotes. The drive I would say from either town is maybe 1 1/2 hours if that. |

| I mostly Bow hunt Deer and Elk. Have been known to rifle hunt. Thanks so much for the info. We usually hunt Starbuck. Harder to get out on Thanksgiving since the kids came into the pic. Will look into that location. Anybody else with info, would love to hear it. Thanks! |
